I leaving this review bc this hospital is by far the best. I have never ben to an institution as friendly and as postive at Magnolia Animal Hospital. Although i just started bringing my cat here ( 3 visists total) i will say this place is a breathe of fresh air from her previous vet. They truly love the animals. I honestly thought a place as nice as this was going to be very expensive especially considering what i needed done for my cat. He previous Vet charged us $300 just to sedate her and give her a urine test. But her they did a whole line a treatment and surgery and even a followup at such a reasonable price. Plus my cat seems much more at ease whenever i pick her up. I love this place and as my headline states it is truly a blessing to founs ppl and doctors that car for your pet and their well being and not just money!! MAGNOLIA ANIMAL HOSPITAL CONTINUE TO DO WHAT YOU DO AND I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT AND REFER!!!

My dog died, when I took him to have his teeth cleaned. It's been six months, and I've never been so lonely. I lost my best friend. In giving this review, I can not give one star, because that would not be fair to the vet hospital. After all, things happen. Likewise, I can not give five stars, because that would not be true. After all, I did not have a wonderful experience. Or, I should say, my dog did not have a wonderful experience. So, I am settling on the fair score of 3 stars. The middle of the road. \r \r \r But, I want to share my story of the love of my life first and how we came to be. I adopted Buddy from the Wake County Animal shelter about 8.5 years ago, when he was approximately 2 years old. Buddy was the best thing that ever happened to me. Buddy ended up sleeping with me, every night. He would wait for me, outside the bathroom while I took a shower. He would lay with me on the couch. Buddy also had seizures. Buddy needed me and I needed him. He was completely house broken a

We've been dealing with Magnolia for our fur babies health needs for MANY years now. I don't even recall how many. It started out that we felt like our previous vet was overcharing us (badly) so a dear friend suggested Magnolia and said they were reasonably priced and good all around. We've found that to be true and then some.

Amazing, an affordable Vet in Raleigh. I have heard so many people complain about Vet prices being so high in Raleigh. I asked a friend who works for the SPCA if they could recommend an affordable Vet and she suggested Magnolia. After checking City Search and reading the great reviews I decided to give them a shot even thought they are pretty far from my house. I must say that they exceeded my expectations in all categories. I was also very happy that they diagnosed my dog with anxiety issues that have been gradually getting worse with age and with medication he is back to his old self. P.S. Dr. Theresa is great.

I have a 3 year old Maltese and I honestly have to say he is my world (sad, but true). His name is Dustbunny and he recently had to have surgery to correct a luxating patella- I was with a different vet when Dustbunny was diagnosed with this common issue. I was very worried until I came across this wonderful place. I made sure to meet and take Dusty to see Dr. Jon before I would even schedule his surgery. Not only is Dr. Jon wonderful but also Dr. Jon put me at ease and explained the procedure and answered my many questions about the surgery!! He is the best vet ever!! The surgery went super well and Dusty was running and jumping after only one week!! It was like a miracle!! I'm super happy and now I only trust this place with my little furball. Also their prices are excellent, I paid this place less than half of what my old vet was charging me for it! I hope Dr. Jon doesn't ever leave this hospital. Highly recommended- the staff is very friendly too!

I have been a customer of Magnoiia Animal Hospital for 12 years. I can't get over how affordable they are and how much they love my pets. We had to put my dog down 2 years ago and Dr. Jon cried almost as hard as I did. I couldn't believe how compassionate he was. He even came out to the car so Taylor could die in a comfortable place. There were even 2 or 3 staff members outside in the parking for support.

I wanted to advise and express my thoughts on an incident that occured at Magnolia this weekend. My dog Frosty has been under constant care with Dr Jon he has been wonderful and sympathetic to our dogs needs. On Saturday February 27th we called the hospital for help as we noticed our dog was sluggish and had vomited dark coffee like grounds and her stool was dark.

I have been taking my dogs to Magnolia for a couple of years. During this time they have always treated me and my dogs like best friends. My dogs would dance outside the door to go into the hospital.

John Dean (partner) handles his situations poorly and is not compassionate about your pets. Our dogs are our ""KIDS"". John Dean did not make us feel like our dogs were #1 priority while boarded with Magnolia. Dr. Jon is very good. Wish he was at another center

I will NEVER take any of my 4-legged children to see anyone other than Dr Jon - unless it's one of the other staff at Magnolia Animal Hospital!!! I've been taking my dogs there for almost 10 years and would follow Dr Jon anywhere. He has helped us to make the difficult decision to put 2 of my dogs to sleep over the years and was nothing but respectful, understanding, and supportive. My 2 dogs now love going to see Dr Jon and the rest of the staff at Magnolia and that's saying a lot when one of them has received a monthly shot for the past 51/2 years! My ""baby"" was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia at 6 months however, because of the care that he gets from Dr Jon and staff; he continues to run and jump and doesn't appear to know he should be in pain and unable to walk. Other vets might have recommended putting him down or surgery that wouldn't have improved his quality of life, but based on the X-rays would have made sense... Dr Jon gets to know the personalities of his patients and their families and treats everyone with the utmost respect. There has been a fair amount of turnover in the last few years, both of vets and office staff; but I don't know of many places where this hasn't been the case. New staff have a learning curve and need to be given time to ""get up to speed"", but when you're a frequent visitor they quickly get to know you and your pet and are caring and attentive. I have (and will continue) recommended Magnolia Animal Hospital to friends, family, and neighbors over the years and can only hope that every 4-legged family member would have the opportunity to receive the love and care that mine do from Dr Jon and the rest of the staff at Magnolia Animal Hospital!!!!

Dr. Jon is the best. We have taken our dog here for the past 7 years, and couldn't be happier. They are reasonably priced, compared to other vets in the area, and they have a friendly and caring staff, every visit, every phone call.

Magnolia Animal Hospital is the best in town. Not only have I recomended it to many people, but I have literally put my dog's life in their hands on THREE seperate occasions. My dog had parvo as a puppy and was hospitalized for a week. Dr. Jon and his staff did an amazing job nursing him back to health. They cared for Murphy like he was one of their own. At a year and a half he suffered an ACL tear. In addition to having to repair the tear, they had to stop his kneecap from. dislocating. I was allowed to go into the operating room with Murphy AND I waited in the back room with a very comfortable couch and privacy. They brought Murphy to me while he woke up. A year and a half later he tore the other ACL. Again, he received the same surgery and I received the same curtosy.

i want to start off with the comment left below. I am SO AMAZED THAT YOU SIT THERE SAYING OUR PETS ARE OUR FAMILY AND YOU WANT THE BEST CARE FOR THEM ...then you go and get your cat DECLAWED. who are you to do that. god didnt put them on this earth to have their nails ripped out. you seem like you have high standards that even you cant handle. so you put the responsability on everyone else. well come back down from your cloud and back to reality. I would never leave my dog/cat at a vet for however many days ""so they get the best care"" bulls***!

Dr. Jon is the best!! While veterinary care is expensive everywhere, our pets are worth it. Magnolia is very reasonable, call around and check. The quality of medicine Dr. Jon and his staff practice is great. The practice is people friendly and pet LOVING!!

Being a discernable pet owner, I started taking my pets to Magnolia Hospital after reading such fantastic reviews. The first few years taking my animals to this vets was a very exceptional experience. The front staff were friendly and well trained and the veterinarians really seemed to know their stuff. That pretty much came to a screeching halt this past year.

My first experience with Magnolia Animal Hospital was great although it was over two years ago. Expecting the same quality and care, I decided to bring my new cat for a visit based on my first experience, but I guess that was great expectations on my part. I dropped my cat off for his neuter and declaw procedure on May 27, 2008. I boarded my cat through June 3, 2008, because I wanted him to have the best care and supervision during his time of healing. When I picked him up the staff told me everything was great, my cat was adorable, and that I was all set. You would think that after hearing all of these great comments and having your cat cared for, a week longer than required, you wouldn?t have a lot of reasons to be concerned about your cat?s health. Well, I came home with my cat, and his front right paw was split open just waiting for infection to set in. How come no one noticed this or informed me of this? Anyway, I took my cat to a different hospital this morning where I?m sure he?ll get the treatment he should have had the first time. There are a few other comments I could make about this experience, but that would be overkill. For a lot of us, our pets are our kids and I just wanted to alert anyone considering taking their kid too Magnolia Animal Hospital, to think long and hard about their decision.

I have been going to Magnolia animal since May 1999 shortly after they opened. We've been there longer then most or almost the entire staff excluding Dr. Jon. With Dr. Jon, the vet techs, kennel and office staff I have always had a great experience with them and so has my animals. I've referred him to many people. Dr. Jon loves his job and is devoted. He is practical and does what he feels is in the best interest of your ""family member"" but is considerate of the owners feelings as well. His staff is wonderful. I never have to worry if I have a concern they will have Dr. Jon call back or get me in to see him. I have had many animals through the years 3 dogs, 3 horses and a cat. Dr. Jon is the first vet I came to when I moved to Raleigh and I was impressed with him and Nikki for their love of animals. Dr. Jon will get on the floor and sit with your dog and respect their personalities as well. He is the first vet I have known to do this. My animals love going there. I say to them ""Do you want to go see Dr. Jon"" immediately the dogs are at the door waiting to go for a ride. They run in there with their tails wagging. The staff knows your animals name. (Especially if you have to go there often). I give Magnolia a five star because I have been there almost 10 yrs and Dr. Jon's philosophy and dedication is what makes this place a wonderful place to go. Also, the dogs and cat love to stay there in the kennel. I consider the staff part of our family because they know our animals so well. There are other vets there working with Dr. Jon as well. Thanks for being so wonderful to our family.

We started taking our cats to Magnolia in 2004 after reading such great online reviews. The vet staff is great. Very knowledgeable. We have had two cats die of FIP and the staff were very helpful and caring. They sent us cards with signatures and notes from all the staff. I never have trouble making an appointment however, I haven't seen Dr. Jon in over a year. I'm not saying he isn't available but I think he's in high demand. Dr. Stephanie and Dr. Allison are great too! The only reason why I gave four stars instead of five is because of the innefficient office staff. Too often I have taken one pet in for a shot or an exam and then a month later I get a notice that the same pet or another of my pets is due for another shot. The exam isn't expensive but if you have multiple animals and you are constantly taking them to the vet, it adds up. It might be due to high turnover. I hardly see the same office help more than twice. I will keep going to Magnolia because like I said, the vets are great, but I'm still going to bring up my dissatisfaction every time I have to bring in my pets repeatedly.

We had been taking our basset hound, Fred to Dr. Jon and his staff for 7 years. From the first day we walked in, we felt like we were family. The time came to put Fred down this past week, and we have never seen a more caring group, that cared so much for the comfort and well-being of a pet and their family as dr. Jon and his staff were.

I have had several animals and several vets. Not completely satisified with any of them. My son had taken his big old Rottwheiler to Magnolia and was very pleased. I decided I would give them a try when the time came for my little min pinschers (Gigi) next visit. Well it came sooner then later. She was very sick and dehydrated so I called and they got us in immediately even though she had never been seen here. They took very good care of both of us. The whole staff was very helpful and caring. They let me know exactly what was going on, why they were doing what they were doing. Dr. Allison was EXCELLENT. I carried my dog in and she walked out an hour later. The cost was surprisingly low for this emergency. Then to top it off, I got a call from the doctor to see how she was doing the next day. Then Gigi even got a little post card in the mail. HOW COOL!

We had used several local vets since moving to Raleigh from CA, and after visiting Magnolia Animal Hospital, our search was over. The entire staff has always been caring and ensures that our pets' needs are well met. All of our dogs' care has been entrusted to Magnolia, as well as the occasional boarding. After the passing of our oldest dog, we received several communications from the entire staff at Magnolia, which we will always remember.

We have a dog and a cat, and after visiting vets in TX, MA, and NC, Magnolia is HANDS DOWN the best. Dr. Jon and staff really care about the pets they treat and make a point to get to know their humans too. On a recent visit I mentioned to the staff that my husband and I had adopted a child, and what did I get in the mail two days later? A congratulatory card from Magnolia. Our pets are members of our family, and when it comes to their care, there is no one I have more confidence and trust in than the staff at Magnolia.

I take both my 2 year old cat and 1 year old lab/boxer mix to Magnolia for all of their shots and check-ups and they always get phenomenol care without costing a fortune. I came to trust the staff so much at Magnolia Animal Hospital that I began boarding my dog there whenever I go out of town. She has stayed there several times for as long as two weeks and I never have to feel guilty. The staff takes such good care of her that she is always excited to go back! They even took her picture with Santa over the holidays and send her home wearing scarves for the different seasons. You won't find better care anywhere in the triangle and the prices are lower than most of the competition.

I cant say enough good things about Dr John and his staff. We have four dogs all in different life stages and needless to say the older ones take a lot of love and care. All of our dogs are considered family and are treated as such by us and Dr Jon Dick and his staff. Everyone there is sensitive to our needs and to our dogs well being. They give 110 % and seem to know that we are trying to make our financial resources go a long way when it comes to medical care for our pets. I recommend Magnolia HIGHLY to anyone in need of knowledgeable, professional, affordable and caring veterinary practice .

I've had wonderful service from Magnolia Animal Hospital. Thanks to Dr. John Dick and staff members for all of their support and care they gave to our family member Rocky. Rocky was put to rest in February, 2005. We have had Rocky as a part of our family since 1993. It was the hardest thing in the world to go through the process of loosing a life long friend and pet but through the education, love, and understanding we received from everyone we know that Rocky is at peace and no longer in pain. We will miss him terribly but when we do decide to adopt another family member we will return to Magnolia for excellent care.

I have had two cats and 2 black labs that have all been seen at Magnolia Animal Hospital. After moving to Raleigh, I had such a hard time finding vets that didn't rip me off and also cared for my animals. The staff and vets at Magnolia are fantastic. It is obvious they all love what they are doing, and they build wonderful rapport with my pets. The prices are reasonable, too. I was quite pleasantly surprised with the low cost, high-quality care my pets received. I only have good things to say about this veternarian - they'll even email you reminders of upcoming shots for your pets. I am grateful to have found them in Raleigh.
